Minister Gwendolyn Butler was born abroad to Mr. & Mrs. Paul L. Kinsey, Sr., natives NC. As a young girl, Gwendolyn Butler became a bonafide member of St. John F.W.B. Church in 1973. She attended Sunday school, sang in the Youth Choir, worked in the youth department, and served as a youth usher. 

After graduating from High School, Minister Butler went on to serve in the U.S. Army and not forgetting her childhood teachings, attended various churches stateside and abroad. In 1989 Gwendolyn Butler recognized God pulling her to deepen her relationship with Him and began to diligently seek the Lord and an understanding of His Word.

In 1994, Sister Gwen received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior. In 1995, Sis Butler accepted her call to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of Dr. W.J. Best, she was licensed and later ordained in 1997.

Over the years, Elder Butler has served God in various arenas of ministry. As founder and president of the Women of Virtue Outreach Ministry; under the unction and leadership of the Holy Ghost, she led many women back to the Lord through preaching and teaching God’s Word. 

She continued laboring for the Lord as a Praise and Worship Team Leader for more than nine years. Later she sought to further her Biblical studies in a formal school setting and in the summer of 2009, received a Master’s in Divinity, from the Living Water Biblical Institute, Petersburg, Virginia. Her ministry works include serving as the Intercessory Team Leader, Adult and Youth Bible Study teacher, Sunday school teacher, Conference Facilitator, Revivalist and Spiritual Warfare Counselor. 

She is a woman of God, called to “preach deliverance and to set the captives free.”Elder Butler’s personal conviction is for the Body Christ and labors much in fasting and praying for God’s people.

She believes in the power of prayer and desires to see all God’s children live in the spiritual freedom Christ died to give them. She continues to study the Word of God and is committed to serving the Lord in any area of ministry He calls her to.
