An old gospel song I heard a few days ago that I remember quite well says “Trouble in my way—I have to cry sometimes” and at the end of the problem it says, “I know that Jesus will fix it, afterwhile”.

Have the woes of life weighed you down?  Bills that you created, children that just won’t listen, or your mental and physical health fluctuating.  One week you are in it to win it and the next week it seems like you can barely keep it together. We don’t all share the same problems, but everyone does have them and regardless of what they are, you have to do what you must, but don’t give up.

The song is so simple and full of truth.  You can tell the person that wrote it was either going through somethings or just coming out and he was celebrating the fact that Jesus was going to fix it, but he just had to wait. This is a reminder to us all, that no matter what it is and no matter how hard it gets just know, Jesus will fix it.

My brothers, there will always be hard things to go through, things that we pray for that haven’t come to light as we wish they would but hold on it’s coming.  Getting mad won’t help, getting sad won’t help, nor will complaining about it to friends and family.  See that was my problem. I would get upset, stay quiet for days on end, until I was reminded that God said, “He was going to fix it and why can’t you find happiness in the fact that he is going to fix it, instead of fixating on it not being fixed yet”?  I truly believe and have seen for myself, the more you worry about stuff the harder or worse it seems.  It’s like giving the devil more and more access to you and your problems.

This writing may not be full of scripture or a long story about how I made it over and through some of my problems, but what it is, is a reminder to us that whatever we are waiting for God to do for us, if He said He was going to fix it, it’s our job to have faith and take comfort in knowing that Jesus will fix it—AFTERWHILE!!!   May God continue to bless you, your brother in Christ…TMK.
