Back in the days there was a song named “I Got the Hook Up”. Basically, meaning whatever you want I got, or I can get it for you cheap if you really need it.
We all shop looking for the lowest prices, if we can’t find it cheap, we still go ahead and get it depending on how bad we want it.
Do you want some joy, peace, and understanding? Do you want a friend like none other? Do you want to be forgiven for past mistakes, things you’ve said and done but wish you hadn’t? Do you want to get rest at night, and leave tomorrow’s worries for tomorrow? Well, I Got the Hook Up. In the Bible Jesus says, “Come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
This means a variety of things, if you are suffering from unforgiveness, have hatred in your heart towards others, lack of joy in your life and peace from different situations, sorrowful, depressed, and lonely; go to the only one that can help you and that my friend—is Jesus.
Some people will say I tried it, but it didn’t work for me, and my reply would be, did you try it long enough? More than likely, it will take a little time. Everything we want and think we deserve doesn’t come over night, we must hope for it and wait on it. I am not the king of waiting; I struggle with it as much as the next guy. But so, it is said anything worth having—is worth waiting for. (Psalm 27:13-14)
You don’t have to wait on Jesus to hear you, but you do have to wait for Him to work it out. But while He is doing His job, you need to do yours. Be patient, be prayerful and be grateful because it could always be worse.
So, if you need the Hook Up, Jesus is ready, willing, and able. He just needs you to call on His name.
When you get a chance read Matthew 7:7-8 and may God continue to bless you, your brother in Christ…TMK.
