† In His Hands

When we were created, I believe we were all created for a purpose and for a reason.  The essence of our make-up and the unique qualities we were given, were for God’s glory and His alone.  I say that because none of us are perfect and sometimes only God is satisfied with who we truly are.  He created us and is completely committed to helping us achieve our individual purpose.

We don’t do everything right and oftentimes more than not—we may fail at bringing that purpose to complete fruition in our lives.  Sometimes we get it right and sometimes we get it wrong—but we are “Still Saved”.   Sometimes, we wake up in the morning feeling like a failure and other times we’re pleased with our progress.

I recall an instance in the Bible where God asked the prophet to go to the potter’s house so He could show him something.  The prophet got up and went to the potter’s house and when he arrived, he describes some of the things he saw. One of those things that stuck out to him was a vessel that was marred—blemished, flawed, disfigured, and spoiled. He took notice that the potter was in the process of “remaking” the same vessel to where it pleased him.

Life can often do a number on us, and we may become marred from God’s original design and purpose for us.  But the good thing is, like the potter was the creator of that vessel, God places us in His hands to remove the blemishes and cracks we may sustain, and He remakes us into His purpose once again.  It’s a blessing to be “In His Hands”.

So, whether you feel or even look saved today—you are because you’re “In His Hands”.  The problem is, we want to fix ourselves instead of letting Him do it and the only thing we’ll experience is frustration.  The Christian journey can be challenging enough by itself.  I encourage you to get in the Lord’s hands and stay there.  Don’t allow the world to beat you down and stay down.  Instead, allow The Creator to remake you—over and over again, until His purpose is fulfilled in your life.  Hang in there—no matter what and remember, you’re “Still Saved”. (Read Jeremiah 18:1-6 KJV)
