As a young girl in grade school, I remember always getting in trouble. I wasn’t really doing anything wrong in my perspective, but my teacher would also send a note home to my parents letting them know that I was talking too much in class. I was not really shy when it came to expressing myself and or letting folk know how I felt about everything. With me—let’s just say, you’d always know what was on my mind. I didn’t mind then and I don’t mind—keeping the lines of communication open now. Communication is key and makes a relationship grow. Whereas the lack of communication can hinder that same relationship and keep it from flourishing into something great.
When I gave my life to Christ a lot of things changed for me, but talking was not one of those things. If you don’t talk to the person, you’re in relationship with, how will they know how you feel, what you need, or what you want. How will they know that you cherish your life with them, and that you are appreciative of it?
Think on this for a minute—if you will. Prayer is one of the most important ways we can communicate with God and unlike others, He appreciates our desire to talk with Him. Prayer is also another way in which we can worship Him. I have learned that keeping the lines of communication open at all times, makes it so much easier to go to Him when I’m in need.
The Bible declares that if we draw near to Him—He will draw near to us. He seeks those who are willing to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Are you willing to communicate with the one being we know loves us. For God so loved the World—He gave His only begotten Son to die so that you and I could live a life with Hm eternally.
I encourage you to open the lines of communication between You and God. It has to start somewhere—why not with you. Getting started is the hardest part, but once you do, it will produce a relationship with Him that will last forever. Think about it—partake today in “Open Communication” with God.
